Taken in late April; the blue jays have been making it very difficult to get their pictures of late. I swear, they can tell when the camera starts to focus on them, and take off. But I got this one!
April was when we finally started to see the squirrels again, on a regular basis. As things warm up, some of the trees began leaking fresh sap, and this squirrel is enjoying a sweet treat.
One last deer picture from late April.
You can really see how the winter fur is shedding away, around the chin and jaw.
I have finally been able to go through photos from our living room camera, and process the last batch from April.
This was taken later in the month, and is among the last deer sightings we’ve had this season. Now that things are getting all green, the deer don’t need to come by here as often.
Yesterday, my daughter got photos of a bird we have not seen here before.
This is a male rose-breasted grosbeak. What a gorgeous bird!
On finding the above link and watching a video there, I realize that, while I have never seen one before, I have certainly heard its song.
Here is another photo from late April.
I cannot, for the life of me, remember what type of bird this is.
Drawing a total blank. LOL
I’m really happy with how the photo turned out, though. 🙂
We haven’t seen much of the squirrels for months, but they seem to be back now. This photo was taken and a particularly windy day in April.
The blowing wind reveals the different layers of colour in the squirrels fur. Hard to believe how dark it is under those red tips.
Here’s a photo going back to the beginning of April.
It’s not often we get to see a deer’s teeth. LOL
A couple of last photos taken during the snow storm in the middle of April.
The blowing snow didn’t stop these hardy little birds!
This photo was taken just days before the snow storm hit, in the middle of April.
Such a lovely, warm and sunny day.
